AbstractConcentration is an important rool in shooting, Some consider the ability to concentrate to be a natural and inherent talent of athletes, while these abilities are not innate and are skills that athletes can acquire through practice and learning.The use of direct brain electrical stimulation is one of the ways to increase the concentration. This study focused on effect of Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on the concentration and record of 16 to 26 year old pistol shooters in Isfahan was investigated, 30 subjects (consisted of women and gentlemen were present. 15 of them were in experimental group and 15 subjects were selected for control group. Before the beginning of the study, subjects of both groups were subjected to a pretest including a stroop test and a complete shot form 60 arrows with a scatt machine. Then the experimental group went under the influence of tDCS from the T3 and CZ regions for 20 minutes with voltage of 1 mA per day and it continued for 10 sessions. All subjects were subjected to post-test, which was the same as the pre-test after the end of work and 7 days later. Data were analyzed by SPSS . The results showed that Transcranial direct current stimulation had a significant effect on the concentration and the record of the pistol shooters. The results of both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (P <0.05) indicated that tDCS had a significant effect on concentration and record of pistol shooters and it improved by using tDCS.

Concentration, or the ability to focus on the task at hand while ignoring distractions, is a vital determinant of successful performance in sport. The main aim of this study was to examine the effects of neurofeedback and mindfulness interventions on visual continuous performance in young athletes. 45 soccer players (age range of 16 - 20 years) who attended the National Leagues in 2017 were assigned to three groups (alpha/theta neurofeedback intervention, mindfulness intervention, and control). Athletes in neurofeedback group received 12 sessions (2 sessions per week, 30 minutes per session) of neurofeedback training with high alpha/low theta protocol and athletes in mindfulness group received 12 sessions (2 sessions per week, 30 minutes per session) of mindfulness meditation. Before and after interventions, visual continuous performance test was used. The control group received no interventions. The results of mixed ANOVA and ANOVA with repeated measures at significance level of 0.05 showed a significant improvement in all dimensions of visual continuous performance test (omission error, commission error, and reaction time) in neurofeedback and mindfulness groups compared with the control group. Also, the results indicated no significant differences between neurofeedback and mindfulness groups in the dimensions of the visual continuous performance test. The results of this study indicated the effectiveness of alpha/theta neurofeedback training and mindfulness training as visual continuous performance improvement training compared with the control group in young athletes.

The aim of this study was to determine validity and reliability of the Persian version of the Flow in Computer Games Questionnaire so that the flow performance in computer gamers can be evaluated. 400 gamers (237 males; 163 females) were selected by random cluster sampling method and completed the Persian version of the Flow in Computer Games Questionnaire. In the first step, translation accuracy of the Persian version was confirmed through back translation method. Then, confirmatory factor analysis based on structural equations model was used to determine construct validity while Cronbach alpha coefficient was applied to determine internal consistency. Intra-class correlation in test-retest method was administered for temporal reliability of the items. The results indicated acceptable fit indices (CFI=0.92, TLI=0.75, RMSEA=0.062), internal consistency (ɑ=0.75) and temporal reliability (ICC=0.85) for the Persian version of the Flow in Computer Game Questionnaire. The results supported the multifactor structure and 23 items of the Flow in Computer Games Questionnaire. Therefore, the Persian version of the Flow in Computer Game Questionnaire has an acceptable validity and reliability among computer gamers and it can be used as a valid and reliable tool to evaluate the flow performance of these gamers in Iran.

Boxing is one of the organized high-contact sports that requires purposefulpunches to the head and body of the opponent in both amateur and professionallevels, so traumatic head injury in boxers isn’t impossible. In this type of injury,though intact cognitive functions, it is possible that total cognitive beneficiarybecome impaired as a result of distractibility, imperfect concentration, andaftermath fatigue. Thus, purpose of this study was to investigate attentionaldisorders in amateur boxing. Subjects of the study were 30 male experiencedamateur boxers (more than 4 years background, age= 24±3.1) as experimentalgroup, and 30 male novice amateur boxers (less than 1 year background,age=25±4.2) and 30 male 400 and 800 meter runners (age= 24±2.7) as controlgroups. We used DAUF continuous attention test to assess attentional component.In order to data analyzing was used MANOVA in the significance level of 0.05.Findings showed that in none of variables there were significant differencebetween groups (P>0.05), meaning that amateur boxing periods even longer than4 years doesn't lead to attentional disorders. Based on our findings, it is concludedthat intensity of punches in amateur boxing doesn't reach to threshold that lead tobrain damage at least in regions which control visual attention.
