AbstractThe present study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of two different methods to enhance free throw shooting among young basketball players. One method is based on mindfulness(MSPE) and the other is based on mental imagery(MI). This is a semi-experimental study and in terms of data collection, the design of the study is experimental with pre-test, post-test and a control group. Statistical population consisted of young basketball players in Tehran from whom 60 players were selected through convenience sampling and put into the following three groups: mindfulness group, mental imagery group and control group. Statistical analyses were presented in two sections: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics included participants’ characteristics, distribution of data and the variables’ mean and standard deviation. Shapiro-Wilk test was also used to determine whether the data were naturally occurring. Then, the data were analyzed through inferential statistics using paired-samples T-Test, ANOVA, Leven’s Test, Games-Howell Test and Bonferroni post hoc Test to test the hypotheses. Significance level of the study was set at 0.05. The results obtained from the pre-test and post-test of both mindfulness and mental imagery groups showed the participants’ performance was significant with mean differences of 4.15 and -2.55 respectively. Also, the final findings of the study indicated that treatment in mindfulness group was more effective than that of mental imagery group, in improving free throw shooting (P=0.2).Key words: basketball, Free throw, Mindfulness, Mental imagery, Sport performance

Measuring different types of aggression (such as physical, verbal) and its functions (such as Reactive/Proactive) in individuals with developmental disabilities, especially adolescents and adults, has received little attention. In this study, we investigated the validity and reliability of the Persian version of the Children’s Scale of Hostility and Aggression: )Reactive/Proactive) in individuals with and without autism spectrum disorder in different age groups. For this purpose, C-SHARP questionnaire, child behavior checklist (CBCL) and reactive/Proactive aggression questionnaire were filled out by different age groups with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Different types of validity were determined with test-retest and Cronbach's alpha for its external and internal reliability. Correlation between C-SHARP, CBCL and reactive/Proactive aggression questionnaire was also used to assess the validity of the C-SHARP scale. The correlation coefficient between C-SHARP subscales and CBCL Externalizing was higher than internalized CBCL. Individuals classified with the reactive/Proactive aggression questionnaire as both Reactive and Proactive have higher C-SHARP Proactive Scores than individuals classified as Reactive only or Reactive or Non- Proactive. For C-SHARP reaction scores, a similar pattern was observed for proactive scores. The results of this study provided evidence for the validity of C-SHARP by confirming the content validity and its relationship with valid scales, which shows that C-SHARP is useful for measuring different types of aggressive behavior in different age groups with developmental disabilities

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cognitive rehabilitation on Fundamental motor skills of children with DCD. The method of the present study was quasi-experimental, a pre- posttest design with experimental, and control groups. The statistical population of the study was 6 to 10 year old children in khonj city. For this purpose, 40 children with developmental coordination disorders were selected by cluster sampling method based on entry and exit criteria as members of the sample group and were randomly divided into experimental (n = 20) and control (n = 20) groups. Electrical stimulation was performed in 24 sessions and each session for 20 minutes with an intensity of one mA on the F3 and F4 regions on the study groups. The instruments used in this study included the DCD Questionnaire (DCDQ7), Movement Assessment Battery for Children - Second Edition (MABC-2), the Ulrich Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-2) and the Raven Intelligence Test. Data analysis was performed by Levin, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and analysis of covariance at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) have a significant effect on increasing locomotor movement skills (F = 461.84, P = 0.001, Eta = 0.92), object control (F = 351.15, P = 0.001, Eta = 0.90,) and total motor skills (F = 597.21, P = 0.001, Eta = 0.94). This method can be useful and effective in improving Fundamental motor Skills, which is one of the major problems of these children.

AbstractConcentration is an important rool in shooting, Some consider the ability to concentrate to be a natural and inherent talent of athletes, while these abilities are not innate and are skills that athletes can acquire through practice and learning.The use of direct brain electrical stimulation is one of the ways to increase the concentration. This study focused on effect of Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on the concentration and record of 16 to 26 year old pistol shooters in Isfahan was investigated, 30 subjects (consisted of women and gentlemen were present. 15 of them were in experimental group and 15 subjects were selected for control group. Before the beginning of the study, subjects of both groups were subjected to a pretest including a stroop test and a complete shot form 60 arrows with a scatt machine. Then the experimental group went under the influence of tDCS from the T3 and CZ regions for 20 minutes with voltage of 1 mA per day and it continued for 10 sessions. All subjects were subjected to post-test, which was the same as the pre-test after the end of work and 7 days later. Data were analyzed by SPSS . The results showed that Transcranial direct current stimulation had a significant effect on the concentration and the record of the pistol shooters. The results of both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (P <0.05) indicated that tDCS had a significant effect on concentration and record of pistol shooters and it improved by using tDCS.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a course of aerobic exercise and vitamin D supplementation on the psychomotor function of elderly women with sleep disorders. Based on this, 42 people were selected in an accessible and targeted manner with an age range of 60-70 years. They all suffered from insomnia. Subjects were randomly divided into four groups: aerobic exercise, aerobic exercise-vitamin D supplement, vitamin D supplement and control group. Vitamin D intake in both groups was taken as 2000 units daily. The Physical Activity Readiness Diagnostic Questionnaire (PARQ) was used to know the level of physical fitness of the subjects and the Gibson 24-hour diet recall questionnaire the day before the pre-test and post-test. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale was used to extract the sleep profile. COG psychomotor test was also used to assess cognitive and mental components and information processing. The results showed that the aerobic, supplement and aerobic-supplement groups had a significant improvement in selective attention and reaction time. Also, the aerobic-supplement group had a significant improvement in selective attention and reaction time compared to the aerobic group and the supplement group. Aerobic exercise along with vitamin D supplementation seems to improve the motor and motor function of older women. Therefore, vitamin D supplementation and aerobic exercise in interaction are recommended for older women.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of self-movement on distance perception. The method of the present study is quasi-experimental. The statistical population of the present study was the students of Urmia University who were randomly selected as a sample of 60 students who were eligible to participate in the study and were randomly divided into three groups of 20 people including static group, dynamic group with treadmill speed 4 Km/h and the dynamic group were divided at a speed of 8 km/h. The test of walking blindfolded in a straight line to a previously observed target was used to measure distance perception. The results of analysis of variance showed that there was no significant difference in the perception of estimating the distance between groups, while there was a significant difference in the perception of distance with closed eyes between groups and also in perception scores. There is no significant difference in distance with closed eyes between the movement group with treadmill speeds 4 and 8, but the difference between these two groups with the group without movement is significant and Finally, the results showed that although self-motion affects the perception of distance with the eyes closed, but the speed of movement does not affect this perception. Therefore, movement can affect the perception of the surrounding environment.

Introduction and Purpose: the purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sport vision training on accuracy and targeting-interceptive skill quiet eye in children with learning disorder.Methods: In this semi- experimental study with a repeated-measure design, 30 boys aged 7-10 years with learning disorder were divided into sport vision and control groups. In the pre-test phase, participants performed 10 trails to throw and catch task the ball. Acquisition phase have done in eight weeks and three sessions in per weeks. At the end of the last training session, in the post-test phase, in two weeks of detraining in the retention and transfer phases, the participants performed 10 trials to throw and catch task the ball. At each phase, the gaze behavior was recorded by eye tracker system and the throw and catch task performance was recorded by the researcher. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance with repeated measures with 0.05 significant levels.Results: The results indicated that sport vision training has a significant effect on increasing the accuracy of targeting-interceptive skills and on increase quiet eye period of throw phase. But, other result indicated that sport vision training has not effect on quiet eye of catching phase.Conclusion: In general, the results of the current study emphasize the importance of sports vision training on the performance of children with learning disabilities; However, more research is needed on the effect of sports vision training on gaze behavior according to the type of task (targeting or interceptive).

Abstract:Introduction: Basic manipulation skills in children are a prerequisite for movement and sports skills in adulthood. The aim of this study was to compare basic manipulation skills between children with upper cross syndrome and healthy children.Methodology: The statistical population of the study included two groups of healthy boys aged 10-11 years and children with upper cross syndrome in Piranshahr. According to the inclusion criteria, 45 healthy students and 45 students with upper cross syndrome were selected by random and purposive sampling. The Goniometer-pro android app was used to measure kyphosis, the image J program was used to evaluate the head and shoulders forward, and the Ulrich test (TGMD 3) was used to assess the basic manipulation skills. Descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation were used to describe the data and One-way ANOVA was used to compare the two groups.Results: There was a significant difference between the basic manipulation skills of children with upper cross syndrome and healthy children (p <0.05). In this regard, healthy children in all skills of manipulation, were better than children with upper cross syndrome.Conclusion: Based on the findings, upper cross syndrome abnormality, which is caused by imbalance between agonist and antagonist muscles, causes limitation of movement and weakness in basic manipulation skills of children, so it is necessary to pay attention to these abnormalities.
